Similarly, my archnemesis when Google was trying to build its surveillance city in Toronto was the CEO of Alphabet Labs, Dan Doctoroff.

There are lots of people with similar surnames, especially people whose ancestors came from Russia or Prussia, where the tax-collectors assigned names as a matter of record-keeping convenience.
